Adoptive Parents to be...

This is a very special photo of my dear friend A and her husband D. This picture is great just because they are such a beautiful couple, but it is extra special because they are going to using this in their Life Book for an open adoption. This photo, among some others that I took, will be what a perspective birth parents will look at to make a life-altering decision to place their child in the loving hands of these two individuals. A and D... you have my prayers and best wishes as you enter this process.

I took some pictures for my friend J and her family. While I was there I met two of the most adorable children P and B. P is the flowergirl in the wedding and B is her little brother. I was talking to their parents and admitted that I could have taken their picture all day. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Talk about being at the right place at the right time. At photography class and we were outside practicing. I had just put my telephoto lens on. Here comes this big guy with a huge fish in his claws. It was a white sucker fish. Had to be several pounds. I love the sun on his wings.

The S fam... our friends and neighbors. They stopped by our park for a quick photo shoot. I wish I would have had more time with them. Great family!

I had the privilege of taking family photos for some friends of ours. These photos are taken in at their home. They have such a stunning yard. I had a hard time staying in one place because there were so many neat backgrounds for pictures. It helped that their little girl, K, is just a ball of sunshine. She loved having her picture taken.

Colors

This is all one tree... I love the changes from green to yellow to orange to red... and the bright blue sky in the background. Great time of year to take pictures.

Rainy Day

This was a fun shot. It was totally unplanned. It was at the lake and I was taking pictures of the sunset and I looked down to see this beautiful daisy. When I took the picture, the flash bounced off the white of the daisy and made the background completely black. It was pretty cool.
